Noa Friedman Reinisberg
Jewish National Emissary
Noa Friedman Reinisberg is the Jewish National Fund Education Shlicha (Emissary) for Canada. “Shlicha” comes from the word “Shlichut” that refers to an outreach program, where an Israeli is sent on a mission abroad to bring with her the spirit of Israel and educate Canadians about Israel’s efforts at home as well as abroad, in areas such as research and development, environment, agriculture, and much more.
Noa has been sent to Canada by the Jewish National Fund last year with her husband and three young children. She was born and raised in Israel in Moshav Bnei-Zion. She has a diverse background in many facets of education, law, communication, and working with groups with special-needs. While serving in the IDF, Noa served as a welfare officer in the paratrooper’s combat brigade and currently serves as a reserve in the special unit Eitan as a liaison to families of missing soldiers. She holds a LLB in Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is a certified guide at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust museum. Most recently, she has worked for El Al, Israel’s airlines, as a flight service manager as well as leading Holocaust themed journeys to Poland. Noa truly has the experience and knowledge of Israel from both within as well as from a global perspective.
