Alut, the Israeli Center for Autism and JNF will build 4 more residential homes at the village for autistic children in Beer Sheva. The new homes will serve 32 additional autistic children from Beer Sheva area whose needs are so severe that they require a residential home.
After the recent Gaza war, Protective Edge, Alut realized the importance of building large, comfortable security rooms in each of these homes. Autistic children can’t run to the shelter within 20 seconds, – they need to sleep there all night during tense times. During Protective Edge, the children spent 5 weeks sleeping in a workshop on mattresses on the floor! These new security rooms will be used during peaceful periods for everyday activities such as: drama class, Yoga, art and music.
